Prize awarded to the Italian Navy by the "Un cuore per tutti, tutti per un cuore" Association

The Italian Navy has been awarded for its commitment to safeguarding human life at sea by “Un cuore per tutti, tutti per un cuore” (“A heart for all, all for a heart”), a non-profit association which raises money for children with heart disease. The award ceremony took place on occasion of the fundraising Gala held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, attended by numerous authorities, artists and show business celebrities.

The Chief of the Italian Navy, Admiral Giuseppe De Giorgi, received the award from the hands of Dr. Ivo Pulcini, President of the Association.
The daily efforts of the crews of the Italian Navy vessels have been shown in a reportage made by the journalist Tiziana Bianchi onboard ITS Bergamini and ITS Cigala Fulgosi, the units deployed in the operation Mare Sicuro. The reportage has a special dedication to those whom the reporter calls “silent everyday heroes".
