NEORION Final Event - Marina Militare

On March 18th, 2021, webinar final event of Project NEORION took place involving countries and institutions that insist in the Adriatic-Ionian area, aiming on promoting local shipbuilding development and on innovative pollution reduction technologies.

All project partners and representatives of the several industrial and institutional realities were keen on NEORION project developing strong synergies among all, which have found a close and effective cluster community sense of purpose in promoting green maritime technologies and sustainable shipbuilding.

The event had a particular focus on trends and opportunities for innovation in the shipping industry in the framework of the Blue growth, bearing the long-term strategy for developing sustainable growth in the maritime sector.

After a quick overview on the aims of the project, platform itself (http://neorion-cluster.eu/) got unveiled on all its appealing structures, entangling the viewers’ attention on the key output of the project that is the circulation and full embrace of new green technologies, applicable in the shipbuilding sector mainly catalysed under solid cooperation between diverse sector operators.

The Italian Navy, partner of the NEORION project, keeps alive its historical commitment on sea-environment protection and with the Green Fleet Program by being totally engaged in promoting full spectrum usage of technologies for safe, clean and sustainable maritime transport, achieving itself outstanding results in terms of alternative fuels, energy saving procedures and use of innovative technologies of eco-design.
