Venice, Venetian Rowing Course for foreign students at ‘Morosini’ naval military school

The “Venetian Rowing Course", organised by the “Francesco Morosini" naval military school for ten students from Romanian military schools and five students from the “Teuliè" military school, based in Milan, has come to an end.

Theoretical training and practical activities onboard sandoli and caorline - typical Venetian 4 and 6 seat boats – enabled would-be oarsmen/oarswomen to learn to row a boat on their own. This initiative – promoted in the framework of the European Union Military Secondary School Forum (EUMSSF) – has been a great opportunity for mutual knowledge and exchange between EU countries.

During this period, guest students had the opportunity to visit the iconic landmarks of Venice (including the islands of Murano and Burano), admiring the beauty of their settings and the richness of art works and cultural traditions.
